David has practised as a Barrister and Solicitor for over 20 years and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia and an Associate of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of New Zealand.

David is also a member of the Institute of Directors, a Senior and Foundation Member of the New Zealand Trustees Association, a member of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Internet Society, Society for Computers and Law, and the New Zealand Computer Society.

Prior to training as a solicitor and after completing a Science degree, David worked in the Computer industry as a programmer and analyst, for some of that time as a contractor and maintains his interest in the area of computers and technology.

David works in many areas including commercial, company, business, litigation, trusts, and property matters and acts for many businesses, companies, individuals, trusts, organisations and entities throughout the greater Wellington region, New Zealand and overseas.

Don is qualified in both Law and Accounting. He has undertaken a broad range of legal work, including litigation and has been a tax specialist since 1993. He jumped the fence to the private sector after seven years with the IRD, where he had worked in Rulings, and then in Tax Policy. Since then Don has worked in two major law firms as a specialist tax consultant before joining Becker & Co. In his spare time Don is a keen outdoorsman, fiddle player and fisherman.

He has over a decade and a half of experience on both sides of the taxindustry, encompassing issues at all levels from advising on tax implications of major cross-border financing structures down to local property GST issues. He is also experienced in handling tax disputes, and in negotiating arrangements for taxpayers in temporary difficulty.

Tracey has been working for Becker & Co since 1995. She previously worked for another Law Firm for 5 years as Receptionist and a Legal Secretary for a Partner. She began work at Becker & Co as a Personal Assistant and eventually took over doing the accounts. She is often the first point of contact and handles most office duties including trust accounting, accounts payable and receivable, Deeds, typing and acts as a Personal Assistant to the Solicitors when required.
